Luis Palácios was born in the city of São Paulo. From a young age he started a self-taught training in photography, music and visual arts. He grew up in the city but alternated part of his youth between the countryside and the coast, where his connections with nature and the wildlife of the forests and the sea emerge.
He graduated in Business Administration from PUC-SP, having served as Sales & Marketing Executive in the digital printing technology segment, being a pioneer in Brazil and Latin America in its application to the digital and graphic arts segment. photography. Currently graduate student for the Strategic Management of Sustainability at Fundação Instituto de Administração - FIA - Brazil
He followed the path of Art in parallel with his corporate career. He participated in several expeditions and photography workshops with renowned photographers. He studied Documentary Film Production at NYFA - New York Film Academy, having produced and directed the short documentary "The unknown Gray" that chronicles the conservation challenges of the Wolves of the American continent. He has contributions with images to National Geographic Magazine, The Guardian, Planet Connection. In 2020 he was part of the Withley Awards photographers group of the Withley Fund for Nature (WFN) - an organization from the United Kingdom represented as ambassadors the H.R.H. Princess Anne and Sir David Attenborough from the United Kingdom - for documenting the work of conservation of Black-Lion-Tamarins lead by Dr. Gabriela Cabral, who was awarded in 2020 by the Withley Awards.
He is an underwater photographer certified by the IANTD - International Association Nitrox and Technical Divers. It works in favor of environmental conservation and sustainable development, supporting Non-Governmental Organizations and researchers with voluntary work of audiovisual, nature photography and wildlife.
Promotes expeditions of nature and wildlife photography, independent documentary films and other activities related to film making productions and environmental conservation
